In this episode, Sean Garmer, Marc Morrison, and Jens Dietrich begin by discussing games they are playing/reviewing starting with Marc talking about his experience with the first few hours of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (thank you to Bandai Namco PR for the review code). Jens loves revisiting Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore and Sean adores Vertex Pop‘s latest Super Crush KO (thank you to Plan of Attack for the review code).
After that, they get into the news of the week and there’s quite a bit.
Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai revealed Byleth as the final Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pass character. Considering there are two huge Fire Emblem: Three Houses fans on the panel, their opinions on the inclusion is much more celebratory than others out there.
They also discuss the big game delays including Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Additionally, Sony is skipping E3 for the second year in a row and the Entertainment Software Association responds. Does Sony really need E3 at this point? And is E3 headed in the right direction?
Not to mention, Horizon: Zero Dawn is headed to PC and perhaps other Sony first-party games may join it on Steam and Epic Games store in the future. Is this the end of console exclusives? Or just another avenue for Sony to get more people playing their games? (We tend to agree on the second option.)
Finally, the trio gushes about their favorite Nintendo consoles, discussing their first ones, the games that brought them the most joy, and too much Virtual Boy talk as well.

Sean Garmer
Sean Garmer has a long history with video games, since childhood. But truly, things got serious when he discovered Pokemon on the Gameboy and thus his Japanese RPG fandom was born. Sean has channeled that love of games into reviewing them. Not only that, but he also analyzes the games industry on the Video Games 2 the MAX podcast, and writes about it on various sites. Sean pretty much plays any kind of game nowadays, but he still prefers his first love, the JRPG.
