Lil Uzi Vert’s long-awaited second full-length studio album Eternal Atake dropped on Friday morning, including 18 tracks overall.
Of the 18 songs, the first 16 are new releases. Apart from a feature from Syd on the 13th track “Urgency,” Uzi sees himself as the only focus on the album.

Weeks Leading Up
The album has been teased for more than a year, with Uzi ramping up promotion in recent months. This has been done by dropping single tracks and releasing album art.
Uzi tweeted out three album covers on Tuesday, allowing fans to vote on which one would be used for the final project. The final one shows three people standing on a planet, looking out at earth, which is emanating neon colours. Above the planet is a flying saucer.
It was a surprise that the album would come out on Friday morning, as claimed on Twitter that he refused to wait another week before it came out.
The delay of Eternal Atake could in-part be blamed for the delay in the album. Frustrations with label Generation Now made Uzi announce retirement from music in January of 2019. Since then he has signed with Roc Nation who has distributed this album.
Bonus Tracks “Futsal Shuffle 2020” and “That Way”
The two bonus tracks on the album have helped garner Uzi attention in recent months. “Futsal Shuffle 2020” was first previewed in November featuring a twitter video of the rapper doing an intricate foot dance routine with it. The song put out in full in early December.
On March 1st, Uzi released “That Way,” a song that sampled famous Backstreet Boys song “I Want It That Way.”
Album Details
Multiple songs on the album feature skits to conclude a track. However, no tracks are exclusively a skit.
A16th track on the song “P2” is a remix of the 2017 song “XO Tour Lif3,” the most well-known song from his 2017 album Luv Is Rage 2.
Prior to release, Eternal Atake was the bigfoot of hip-hop, as some questioned if it would ever see the light of day. Now that it has been released, that title can fully be placed on Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red project, which has been anticipated for a long time as well.
