Most Anticipated New Albums in 2024: The Libertines – All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade
The Libertines are back in 2024, with their new album All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade expected to drop on March 8, 2024. The recording was finished in March 2023 in Margate at their own Albion Rooms. The upcoming release – is produced by Grammy-nominated producer Dimitri Tikovoï.
Green Day – Saviors
The iconic punk trio (Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool) will release their new album, Saviors, on January 19, 2024. They will celebrate the 30th and 20th anniversary of their Dookie and American Idiot album in 2024. It is set to be busy next year for the punk icons, as they will also headline the Isle Of Wight festival in June 2024. The new album – has been recorded alongside their long-term collaborator Rob Cavallo. The first single, The American Dream Is Killing Me, was released in October 2023.
Kanye West – TBC
Kanye West has reportedly been hard at work for a few months now – on a brand-new studio album. TMZ has previously reported that “Ye” had completed ten tracks by the end of September – suggesting a release could happen in the not-too-distant future. The speculation over a new album intensified with the reports of West hosting an album listening party in Italy on Sunday, October 1. Despite no confirmation of a title or a definite release date, a new album appears to be on its way and could arrive in early 2024.
Lil Wayne – Tha Carter VI
Tha Carter VI is on its way as the latest installment from Lil Wayne‘s iconic Tha Carter collection. “Weezy” has been prolific throughout his career and shows no sign of slowing down. Towards the beginning of 2023, he released his latest mixtape, Tha Fix Before Tha VI, as a prelude to the upcoming album. It will be his fourteenth full-length studio album, which will have the singles “Kant Nobody,” featuring DMX and “Kat Food,” which was released in September 2023.
Dua Lipa – TBC
Pop phenomenon Dua Lipa has confirmed the release of her new album for 2024. Houdini is the first single from the upcoming album, released on November 9, 2023. The name and exact release date of the project are still to be confirmed, but the star has said the album will still be pop, but she is working with Kevin Parker from Australian psych-rock band Tame Impala.
