Best Console Launch Games, Next-Gen Is Almost Here

In this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX hosts Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss the early reviews of both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, as they both await their consoles arriving next week. They discuss the positives and the few negatives for each console, while also mentioning other things like the 2020 United States Presidential election as well.

Next, Marc discusses his final thoughts on Watch Dogs: Legion. While Sean has been working on editing a bunch of reviews that are in the backlog that you can check out at the bottom of this description.

The guys also get into the news on the multitude of delays for various games. The Medium, Control: Ultimate Edition and Kerbal Space Program 2 all see pushes into 2021 and beyond. While Marc wonders if P. T. will actually stay blocked from the PlayStation 5 for very long. Plus, the duo also talks about the sudden realization that PlayStation 5 games cannot be stored on an external HDD drive, at least for launch.

Sean also wonders if we are going to miss seeing consoles in stores during the holidays and he loves the commercial Walmart made for the Xbox Series X as well. While Marc really lays into Marvel’s Avengers failure for Square-Enix.

Plus, Nintendo keeps hitting it big with the Switch in selling 68 Million globally and Take-Two may buy Codemasters as well.

Finally, Sean and Marc give out their Top 5 Best Console Launch Games of All-Time.

Sean Garmer has a long history with video games, since childhood. But truly, things got serious when he discovered Pokemon on the Gameboy, and thus his Japanese RPG fandom was born. Marc Morrison brings years of experience writing about games (and of course, playing them) to Video Games 2 the MAX. He currently writes a Top 8 column every week at 411mania and also reviews games. Marc plays all different kinds of games and takes analyzing them to heart.
