Once you reach the bottom, you are met with clear water, which is stunning under the night sky. The waves are very powerful – making this a popular location with surfers. Despite the lively waves, the beauty and tranquillity Arrifana offers are captivating.
Navagio Beach, Greece
Known commonly as Shipwreck Beach, Navagio Beach is a popular tourist spot and sits on the coast of Zakynthos. It has an interesting history and has the shipwreck moniker since 1983, when an alleged smuggler ship Panagiotis – was wrecked on the beach while transporting cigarettes.

It’s a beach that you will have seen on social media. No image or video can do this beach justice, and it needs to be seen in person. The white sandy beaches and crystal clear water further enhance why this is so popular among tourists. The strip of beach is accessed only by boat, and you can book your tours from Porto Vromi to the south and from Agios Nikolaos and Cape Skinari to the northeast, with boats arriving from Zakynthos city harbour.
