Following the success of this show, Netflix has announced they are extending their dealings with author Harlan Coben by ordering two more series with cameras ready to start rolling in the spring.

Filming on another Harlan Coben mystery will begin in the Spring of this year following the success of Fool Me Once. The smash-hit author looks to have found a home at Netflix who have ordered two more of his novels to be adapted. Fool Me Once was the latest show from the Coben and Netflix partnership and was released on New Year’s Day, 2024. The show starred Richard Armitage, Michelle Keegan, and Joanna Lumley and has enjoyed huge viewing numbers since its release.

Previous Success With Harlan Coben
The streaming giant has previously enjoyed great success adapting Harlan Coben novels, with series such as The Stranger and Stay Close proving popular. With the success of Stay Close and Fool Me Once (New Year’s Day releases), it seems Netflix and the American writer could return to that successful spot in future years.

Run Away and Missing You
Danny Brocklehurst wrote and executive produced Fool Me Once and will be involved in adapting Run Away, which revolves around a man’s life getting turned upside down when his eldest daughter returns high on drugs after going missing.
Victoria Asare-Archer, who co-wrote Stay Close, will handle the adaption of Missing You, where detective Kat Donovan is drawn in by a sinister dating profile that could possibly be related to her father’s death. Missing You will be the first project out of the two, with Nicola Shindler‘s Quay Street Productions and Coben’s own Final Twist working behind both projects.

The American author told RadioTimes.com: “We skipped last year but we’d love to try doing it where we have that New Year’s Day release for everybody, they can watch us hungover and we can join them in the new year.”
